Priorities
When workers are strong, our communities are stronger.
Jess is focused on the things people in District 18 are dealing with every day. The cost of living is up, property taxes are still a burden, and too many families feel like they’re doing everything right and still falling behind. She’ll fight for responsible budgeting, real accountability, and policies that actually ease the pressure on working families, not shift it around or kick it down the road.
She’s committed to strengthening access to mental health care, especially in communities where getting help isn’t easy or comes with stigma. She supports practical solutions like expanding access to virtual care and making sure people can get the support they need without barriers. At the same time, she’ll stand up for workers, support small businesses, and push for smart economic growth that actually benefits the people who live and work here.
Jess is a strong supporter of organized labor and the workers who keep our communities running. She’s proud to stand with unions like Teamsters Local 554, the Building & Construction Trades, and other labor organizations fighting for fair wages, safe working conditions, and affordable health care. She believes when workers are supported, entire communities are stronger, and she’ll continue to advocate for policies that protect and empower them.
Jess believes government should be grounded, transparent, and focused on results. This isn’t about scoring political points or picking sides. It’s about showing up, listening, and doing the work to move District 18 forward in a way that actually makes a difference in people’s lives.
